Chocolate and Caramel Porridge


Yeah I know, another porridge recipe but I mean, surely by now you understand why it's my favourite food ever?! It's basically pudding for breakfast! Can't go wrong! Especially with this bowl of indulgent chocolate vanilla creamy oats topped with sweet chocolate caramel, fruit, nut butter and crunchy nibs!

Ingredients - serves one


Porridge -


50g quinoa flakes

1 tbsp cacao powder

1 tbsp coconut milk powder

0.5 tsp vanilla extract

2 pinches of salt

200ml almond milk

1 tsp maple sryup


Toppings -


1 banana, sliced

1 tbsp coconut cashew butter or peanut butter

6 frozen raspberries, crumbled

2 tsp cacao nibs

a few pinches of red berry powder


1 medjool date

0.5 tsp cacao powder

a pinch of salt

milk to help mix




Mash the date in a small bowl with a fork until smooth, stir through the cacao and salt, adding a little mix to help form a smooth caramel.


Pour the porridge ingredients into a pan, place over a medium heat and stir until thickened.

Pour the porridge into a bowl.


Arrange the sliced banana down one side of the bowl and then dollop the chocolate caramel and nut butter alongside.


Scatter over the nibs, raspberries and berry powder.
