Spiced Pear and Almond Porridge


Good evening! Hope you're all having a lovely week! I made this porridge bowl this morning and liked it so much i just had to share! I didn't think I was going to get a picture with the dark mornings but luckily the sun rose as I was about to take a photo! 


Ingredients - serves one


Porridge -


50g quinoa flakes

200ml almond milk

a pinch of salt

1 tbsp almond butter

0.25 tsp cinnamon

0.25 tsp ginger

0.12 tsp ground cloves

2 tsp maple butter

half a pear, diced


Toppings -


2 tbsp coconut yoghurt

half a pear, diced

2 tsp toasted flaked almonds

1 piece of my peanut praline chocolate bar, finely chopped

2 pinches of cranberry powder



Pour the porridge ingredients into a pan and stir until thickened.


Pour into a bowl.


Dollop the yoghurt on one side of the bowl and scatter the pear over the other.


Scatter the nuts and chocolate down the middle of the bowl.


Sprinkle with cranberry powder.
