Ever since tasting my first chai latte in Copenhagen, I've been obsessed!! I've made tons of chai lattes since I've got back and I decided it was time to get creative with chai spices not just in milk but in porridge, bakes, chocolate (coming in autumn) and smoothies!! Here's my masala chai smoothie inspired by Copenhagen and Barcelona as I had a chai masala ice cream sundae when I was there! Pretty like for like if I say so myself! Enjoy!!!
Ingredients - serves one
115g frozen banana
40g avocado - a quarter of a large or half a small
100ml almond milk
1 tbsp almond butter
0.12 tsp each of ground ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and fennel seeds.
a pinch of ground cloves
a pinch of salt and pepper
1 small plum, diced
1 tbsp cinnamon or spiced granola
1 tbsp pistachio or almond butter
a sprinkle of cacao nibs
Blend the smoothie ingredients in a high speed blender until silky smooth.
Pour into a bowl.
Scatter the plum on one side and dollop the nut butter on the other.
Scatter the granola down the middle.
Sprinkle with cacao nibs.
