Smoooooothie time! Maybe a little to late as the sun has now got back to hiding but maybe it will do the job after a hot and sweaty workout instead! This is one of my favourite ever combos, cardamom and chocolate! Which does make me ask myself why I haven't created a bar using cardamom and cacao... but you know! I've planted the seed and all that hah! Anyway, this is a cardamom and cacao smoothie paired with peanut as its a perfect match and tart raspberries for contrast (blueberries work well too). I've used two of my NEW products, one to take the chocolate peanut flavour to a whole new level and to add crunch and substance too! Enjoy xx
Ingredients - serves one
1 scoop of vanilla vegan protein
2 tbsp cacao powder
1 tsp ground cardamom
2 tsp maple syrup
a large handful of ice
almond milk to blend
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp of my chocolate peanut butter spread, melted
1 tbsp my chocolate chunk granola
a few crumbled frozen raspberries
Blend the smoothie ingredients in a high speed blender until thick and smooth, adding milk to help blend if needed.
Check for sweetness, spice and chocolate flavour.
Adjust if needed and then scoop into a bowl.
Swirl the nut butters arround the surface of the smoothie bowl.
Top with the granola.
Scatter over the raspberries.
